Rapid Access Clinic
The Musculoskeletal Assessment Clinic (MSK) is run by family physicians with a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems.
The Orthopaedic Surgeon assessing the referral consultation will triage the patient to the MSK Clinic if considered appropriate.
Our MSK physician will then arrange consultation with the patient, arrange further imaging or non-surgical management he or she deems necessary.
If the patient then requires an orthopaedic consultation, their consultation will be expedited.
HOW TO REFER:
- Referrals must follow the standard protocol for Referral Consultations
The following information must be included on all written referral consultations:
- Patient Name
- Personal Health Number
- Patient Address
- Patient Telephone Contact Information
- Referring Physician Name, Contact Information and Practioner ID
- Date of Referral
- Purpose of the Referral
- Pertinent clinical information including investigation results
- Referrals must be faxed to (780)402-9829
